Danielle is a structural geologist and geoscience policy expert with over 9 years of experience in environmental science, federal policy, and regulatory affairs. Prior to joining Burns & McDonnell, Danielle was the Director of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs at SAFE’s Center for Critical Minerals Strategy in Washington D.C. While at SAFE, she developed federal policy priorities for bolstering the United States critical mineral supply chain and led the Center’s work on federal permitting reform, minerals recycling, and Good Samaritan hardrock mining issues. She has an extensive background in geological mapping, structural geology, and policy, having worked at the United States Geological Survey, the National Academies of Science Engineering and Medicine, and the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. As part of Burns & McDonnell’s Environmental Engineering Practice, she applies her federal, state, and non-profit experience to support projects across the entire critical minerals supply chain, from reclamation to recycling. She also works on sustainability initiatives and helps identify federal, state, and local funding opportunities for Burns & McDonnell clientele.
